The Busy Birchlers, Their Bonkers Birdie, and Their Bouncing Baby—Another Update without a Decent Title

Things have been busy here lately. Kari has her hands full with the resident manager thing (She says that I need to use details so everyone knows how hard she has it). She vacuumed halls for approximately six hours, cleaned 63 fluorescent light covers, vacuumed 15 flights of stairs, and still managed to slave over TV dinners every night). She rented her first apartment today, so she has to go over tomorrow to clean the crud off the side of the stove before they move the stove back into the slot.
I’ve been busy working on some design projects for a software developer—making icons, web banners, splash graphics—stuff like that. I’ve also been busy working on some software myself which I hope to sell for millions and millions later on. It’s coming along slowly but surely (the software, not the millions—just in case you got the wrong impression).
Hank has been busy building another nest which we plan on tearing apart the first chance we get, throwing up in the shower (it’s a sign of affection—he’s in love with his perch. The less you know about that, the better). He’s also enjoying the larger roaming space. He did have a close call a week or so ago when he seemed to be choking on something (probably something he shouldn’t have been eating anyway). Birds sound pretty pathetic when they try talking with something in their throat: “P…etty …irdy. Wheeze, wheeze.”
Christian has been growing up—this means he can finally keep his pacifiers in his mouth by himself now. He likes to spend time on the floor next to daddy while he works on the computer. He also likes being tossed into the air (just a little bit; he’s only a little tyke). He’s also learned to roll over, and over, and over.

We think (without any prejudice, of course) that he is very cute.

Aaron, you can Kari have been married too long…the humor that came through on this update sounded a lot loke Kari’s. How is your back doing?

I have to disagree. I don’t think we’ve been married long enough. My back is doing better. It doesn’t really bother me any more unless I do something stupid.

Julianna—first of all, the floor is NOT unsanitary; Hankie walks around from wall to wall, picking up paper, power cords, crumbs, baby fingers, etc. that have been left lying around. So there.
And secondly, our adorable little angel doesn’t strike one quite so much like an angel when he’s lying on his stomach in bed, screaming at the top of his lungs, kicking his hands and feet, and, regardless of his deficit in verbal skills, communicating very clearly his prejudice against going to bed.

Hum…sounds like someone else that I know, Kari. Okay, Aaron, I won’t argue with you on that one. I remember feeling that way as well (still do usually). I’m glad that your back is feeling better…just don’t do anything stupid.

Hmm.. Well, not to question the veracity of your comment concerning your little angel’s angelicness (?), but he looks pretty sedate to me! ;) How is apartment managing going? Sounds like you guys are keeping pretty busy! :)

It’s still October. We’ve still got time. Helping Christian with his doctoral studies takes a lot of time.
